Several new routes and a significant clean power purchase from western Europe:

EXA Infrastructure will be investing in two new terrestrial routes down on the Iberian peninsula. According to Start Campus, which is building a 495MW hyperscale project in Sines Portugal, EXA will be building redundant routes to the campus. Sines sits along the Portuguese coast south of Lisbon and is where the EllaLink cable comes ashore.

Also down on the Iberian peninsula, Vodafone has lined up a whole lot of green power. They have entered into a new power purchase agreement with Iberdrola for 410 gigawatt-hours of photovoltaic solar energy, building upon a recently announced deal up in Germany. The deal will provide Vodafone subsidiaries with energy from three solar plants: Vodafone Portugal will leverage the Velilla solar plant in Palencia Spain, Vodafone Spain will tap the Cedillo plant in Caceres, Spain, and Vodafone Germany will get energy from the Boldekow plant in the state of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania.

RETN has added a new low latency route to its European network. They have launched alternative connectivity between London and Paris spanning some 550km. More specifically, the route leverages Crosslake Fiber’s new CrossChannel cable and bypasses central London to hook up Slough directly. The CrossChannel cable went live in 2021 with 96 fiber pairs with connectivity to Equinix LD4 and both Digital Realty’s PAR3 and Equinix’s PA7.
