
Today marks the 40th birthday of Ethernet, which has come a long way since the napkin on which it was conceived by Bob Metcalfe at Xerox PARC. Generally when we talk about 40th birthdays, we look back on some ancient, giant piece of antiquated technology and wax on nostalgically about how our phones are a million times more powerful now. Over the past twelve months, Pacnet has gone through a lot of changes. In October the company announced a transformation plan that would give the company a new managed-services and datacenter-centric approach and take greater advantage of their connectivity in Mainland China.
