Four interesting items from EMEA to catch up with:
EXA Infrastructure has completed two new terrestrial routes. The first connects Milan with Zurich, which is the last leg on a larger Frankfurt-Genoa corridor through the Alps. The second connects Paris to Viena, which is also part of a larger corridor between London and Istanbul. The projects leverage low-loss G.652.D fiber, adding significant scale and throughput to EXA’s pan-European terrestrial infrastructure.
Sparkle has landed an expanded partnership in the sports vertical. The Italian-based international network operator has implemented a broader relationship with Infront, a Swiss-based sports and entertainment comapny with offices in 20 countries around the world. The deal adds dedicated international capacity between Milan, Frankfurt, and Paris to existing IP transit and DDoS protection services.
Down in Africa, Liquid C2 has lined up a new partner to expand its portfolio. They have signed a reseller partnership with KnowBe4, which specializes in digital workforce security. The deal will boost Liquid C2’s ability to serve African enterprise customers of all sizes, adding to existing managed cybersecurity offerings.
And Space Norway has tapped Ciena for a subsea cable project. Ciena will be both upgrading Space Norway’s Svalbard subsea cable systems and deploying nextgen technology on the upcoming Arctic Way system. Space Norway is investing in subsea infrastructure to complement their satellite capabilities, with additional terrestrial extensions also in the works.
