Wednesday Bytes: Macquarie, Netskope, iBasis, Bouygues, BICS, Proximus, 3C Datalec

One partnership down under, two interesting deals from wholesale voice, and an interesting bit of M&A:

Macquarie Telecom and Netskope are expanding their partnership down in Australia. The two will be delivering a unified, single-vendor SASE solution to Australian enterprise customers. They have been working together since last year, combining Netskope’s SD-WAN platform with Macquarie’s SASE offering. Enterprises in Australia are moving to meet complex regulatory requirements as AI adoption grows.

iBasis has lined up another strategic partner in western Europe. France-based Bouygues Telecom has made iBasis its source for wholesale international voice and IPx services, and has tapped them for managed roaming as well. According to iBasis, this is the first case of an independent European MNO to adopt a fully outsourced roaming model.

BICS says it will be managing international roaming negotiations for its sibling company Proximus SA. The deal builds upon an existing relationship, as BIC already carries Proximus’s international traffic. Both BICS and Proximus SA are arms of Proximus Global of course, so this is all somewhat in-house.

And there was a bit of interesting M&A in the data center ecosystem today. Datalec Precision Installations and 3C have announced a merger to form 3C Datalec. The deal brings liquid cooling, M&E engineering, ODM manufacutirng, connectivity, and facilities management services together under one roof. The company is backed by Longbow Capital, S2G Investments, Apogem Capital and QIC, and says combined revenue will be over $400M this year.
