Wednesday Roundup: Telxius, GTT, RETN, Ribbon

Four projects from four parts of the world to keep up with:

Telxius has expanded its presence in the Caribbean with a new PoP in the Dominican Republic. The PoP is located within the NAP Caribe data center in Santo Domingo and complements the company’s submarine cable landing gateway in Punta Cana an hour or two to the east. Telxius is looking to tap into the regional market, which has the largest number of internet users in the Caribbean.

GTT is teaming up with HPE to boost its managed services portfolio. They are leveraging HPE Aruba Central to add SASE and managed LAN/WLAN solutions to their capabilities, starting out with SSE with the rest to come later this year. The deal is an expansion of a longstanding partnership for SD-WAN managed services.

RETN has added some network depth in western Europe. They have added a new spectrum route between London and Brussels, adding diversity between the UK and mainland Europe. The route leverages newly constructed dark fiber between Rotterdam and Brussels and takes a diverse path from London that avoids the congested Docklands region.

And Ribbon has picked up some subsea business for its DWDM gear. PT Jala Lintas Media will be leveraging their Apollo platform for connectivity between Indonesia and Singapore as well as for DCI solutions for cloud and AI workloads. It’s part of a network expansion supported by PT Mahavira System Integra.
