A few interesting tidbits from around the industry:

Orange Business is taking its GenAI capabilities into the healthcare space. Rouen University Hospital, which supports a network of public hospitals in France’s Normandy region, will be leveraging Orange Business’s Live Intelligence product. Research teams will use it to speed up grant applications, speeding up the drafting of specifications and evaluation criteria. It’s an extension of a wider relationship between Orange Business and the hospital network for a range of managed services.

Boldyn Networks has deployed another 5G DAS system, this one hooking up the Fiddler’s Green Amphitheatre, a large outdoor music venue outside out in Denver. The infrastructure supports high capacity connectivity across 18K seats and the surrounding ground. Fiddler’s Green Amphitheatre is operated by AEG Presents, and the relationship with Boldyn Networks is a longstanding one.

Brightspeed’s fiber buildout in the Midwestern state of Ohio is now at the 65% mark. The fiber broadband builder and operator says it now reaches 350K homes and businesses, with another 200K targeted. The expansion is in part funded by $17M in BEAD funding and $16.4M in ARPA funding. The company has been building out across its 20-state footprint at a rapid pace for the last few years.

And Megaport’s transformation into a full service cloud infrastructure provider is continuing with a new product launch. They are now offering Megaport Storage, which complements integrated compute and network capabilities. Megaport got its start connecting enterprises and clouds together, but has been evolving itself into a unified platform covering a wide range of parallel technologies.
