A couple of managed services upgrades and a balance sheet move.

Windstream Enterprise has expanded its relationship with Fortinet to further boost its managed services portfolio. They have launched Secure Flex Premium, which provides customizable cybersecurity infrastructure to large enterprises. The solution leverages a range of Fortinet’s security portfolio and is designed to integrate into each enterprise’s specific existing technology infrastructure.  Windstream has been putting significant effort into its managed services options over the past few years.

Lumen has commenced a consent solicitation as part of its recently announced effort to improve its balance sheet. They are looking to get their lenders to agree to changes to various of their loans and secured notes due over the next 5 years or so and to raise some new funds in the process. It’s part of the company’s turnaround plan, aiming to simplify their balance sheet obligations and add flexibility going forward.

And TPx has announced an expanded Network Management offering. They are targeting the SMB with a range of technology from Juniper Networks, including switches, access points, firewall, and SD-WAN. The new capabilities will be available this summer. TPx recently brought in a new CEO as well.
