A new data center, a new partnership, some FTTH, and a new PoP:

Yondr Group has broken ground on another giant facility in Northern Virginia in partnership with JK Land Holdings. It will be the company’s second 48MW facility on its Loudoun county campus, and will feature a waterless design. They only just broke ground on the first such facility in October of 2022.

CMC Networks has a new partner in Africa’s healthcare marketplace. They are working with Cerba Lancet Africa, which specializes in local clinical pathology and medical diagnosis. CMC will provide SD-WAN, cloud access, and security via regional hubs in South Africa, Nigeria, and Kenya.

Docomo Pacific is taking the fiber plunge on the island of Guam. The division of NTT Docomo has announced the launch of FTTx connectivity for both residential and business customers in the US Territory. Guam has population of 168K as well as strategic US military bases the Army, Navy, and Air Force.

And also in Guam, PLDT Global has opened a new point of presence. The new deployment in GTA’s GNX iX Data Center will give PLDT Global a key node at the intersection of multiple subsea cable systems. The island has 12 of them, making it a true crossroads in the Pacific.
