July 14th, 2022 by · Leave a Comment

A metro expansion, a couple of technology partnerships in the data center space, and a private wireless network deployment:

Arelion has invested in some additional metro reach down in Georgia, reducing the need to route through downtown. They have built out a PoP at Switch ATLANTA in Lithia Springs and added some new longhaul connectivity to Douglas County from Ashburn and Dallas.

Over in India, Web Werks has entered into a strategic partnership with Nutanix. The arrangement will enable a new cloud engineering platform for enterprise tenants to use, which they will call Web Werks VMX. Web Werks operates data centers in Mumbai, Pune, and Delhi NCR and has a JV with Iron Mountain for further expansion.

DataBank also has put a new partnership in place to broaden its product portfolio. They hare working with Corsa Security for the orchestration and automation of virtual firewalls, or more specifically to better deploy, scale, and optimize the Palo Alto technology they use. DataBank operates 60+ data centers and 20 interconnection hubs, and the partnership will enable them to offer managed VFS across that footprint.

And ExteNet Systems has won a high profile customer for a private wireless network. They have lit up connectivity at the AT&T Center in San Antonio TX, home of the NBA’s San Antonio Spurs. It’s an exclusive partnership with Spurs Sports & Entertainment that will drive the event experience of fans attending live events at the venue.
