A few bits of news to start the week on:

DE-CIX and Seaborn Networks have teamed up for more interconnection possibilities. Seaborn Networks has connected its Seabras-1 cable system between North and South America to DE-CIX New York. From there the cable system also gains direct access to DE-CIX’s European exchanges in Frankfurt and Marseille.

NJFX has brought a new partner into its ecosystem. The European carrier Ethernet exchange provider NetIX will help bring connectivity to European markets to the businesses leveraging NJFX’s facility on the Jersey Shore. Meanwhile NetIX gains better access to Latin America via Seaborn’s Seabras-1 cable system.

Integra Optics has unveiled a new enhancement to its line of tranceivers. Last week the company announced Smart Coder+, a device that enables field technicians to code and recode Integra tranceivers on-site as many times as needed. Jaguar Communications is among those who have used earlier versions of the technology.
