Resilience, channel, and subsea:

Lumen is looking to improve resilience for customers with a two-pronged approach. They have launched both AI-powered tools and a Dual Path service. The former enables service assurance capabilities, and the latter offers two physically diverse network routes between the same two endpoints. Lumen says it offers 3+ optical paths across eight of the 10 leading AI infrastructure markets.

Epsilon and center3 are partnering up in the Middle East. Epsilon will be a reseller partner for center3’s Internet Exchanges in Saudi Arabia. center3 operates platforms in the cities of Jeddah, Riyadh, and Dammam, all of which will be accessible via Epsilon’s one-IX and Infiny ecosystem.

GNX will be working with Equinix to reach a broader ecosystem. They have integrated their GNX+ platform into the Equinix Fabric Marketplace. The result will be easier connections between tenants of Equinix’s 280 data centers across 77 metros around the world with GNX’s last mile services and relationships.

And I missed this from a few days ago, but Orange, MDM, and Equitix are planning a subsea cable to bypass the UK. The Pisces subsea cable system will connect Galway in Ireland, Saint-Hilaire-de-Riez in France, Sopelana in Spain, and Carcavelos in Portugal. Orange will be building a new landing station in Sopelana. The total system will be 3,125km long and consist of 16 fiber pairs. The marine survey was completed in August, and if all goes well deployment should be in 2028.
