CenturyLink has picked up a bit of government business in the desert southwest. The State of Arizona has awarded the company a new AZNet contract for connectivity and managed IT.
Covered in the deal are a laundry list of solutions: LAN, WAN, WiFi, security, UC, contact center, IT management, data center, and cloud. It’s not new for CenturyLink of course, as they had the previous AZNet contract and this simply expands on that existing relationships by folding in some new technologies and capabilities. CenturyLink’s infrastructure in the state spans some 27K route miles and 13K on-net buildings.
The new contract has a five year term and two on-year extension options. CenturyLink has won similar deals in other states, including Texas and Pennsylvania over the past few years.
