FiberLight Rolls Out Texas Express

July 28th, 2020 by · Leave a Comment

A lot is happening in Texas these days, but let’s stick to the fiber. FiberLight said today that its new Texas express routes buildout is complete, giving its statewide infrastructure a few superhighways to work with.

The new low-latency network focuses on the usual DASH suspects (Dallas, Austin, San Antonio, and Houston), but also reaches down to the border while hooking up Corpus Christi, Laredo, and McAllen. Fiberlight has deployed DWDM gear to support whatever Nx100G modulations that enterprise and wholesale customers may require.

FiberLight’s 10K route-mile Texas buildout was the biggest project the company has taken on, and targeted the wireless backhaul marketplace. By lighting up express routes, they will be better able to address regional enterprise needs by offering fast and efficient onramps to data centers and cloud assets across the region.
