Some data center infrastructure is changing hands over in Europe. nLighten has announced the strategic acquisition of seven facilities from EXA Infrastructure as it continues to expand its depth across the continent.
The deal includes facilities across seven markets: Amsterdam, London, Paris, Madrid, Geneva, Zurich, and Ghent. That will put them in 34 edge data centers across Europe in all. Three new countries are on that list: Switzerland, Belgium, and Spain. There are plenty more places for nLighten to go next of course.
Both nLighten and EXA Infrastructure are part of the I Squared Capital infrastructure portfolio. So it is perhaps best to see this deal as a re-organization of assets into the proper vehicles, sharpening the focus of EXA onto the connectivity side while keeping all the colo stuff in the nLighten basket.
