An enhancement, a vendor win, and two more promotions:

Windstream Wholesale is enabling its customers to design their own wavelength routes. It’s a self-service enhancement to the company’s customer portal, taking advantage of the automation capabilities of the company’s Intelligent Converged Optical Network platform. Windstream Wholesale got a new leader last month, as Joe Scattareggia took over the division as president.

Infinera has picked up some business in the Catalonia region of Spain. Xarxa Oberta de Catalunya, which is a subsidiary of Cellnex Group, is using Infinera’s XTM series to deliver connectivity to government networks in the region. They are deploying links of up to 400GbE and have tested Infinera’s ICE6 technology for 800G in order to scale further in the future.

Ritter Communications has a change of leadership in the works. The current CFO Heath Simpson will be taking over as CEO as of the end of the month, and Alan Morse will transition from the CEO role to the position of Executive Chairman. Ritter has been busy building out FTTH to communities across its footprint in and around Arkansas.

And over in the UK, Kao Data also has a new Chief Executive Officer. The data center operator has named the industry veteran Doug Loewe to the CEO role as it targets the company’s next phase of expansion. Last year they began working on a giant new facility in Manchester, saw additional investment from the company’s owners in preparation for expansion of the platform generally.
