Reports suggest that Atlanta is going to have a new player in its data center marketplace. The Douglas City Council has approved tax incentives for a $200M data center buildout on a 44-acre site in the Riverside Business Park, and reports indicate that builder will be CyrusOne.
It’s not the first rumor this year that CyrusOne is moving into Atlanta, as this report from May shows. The project envisions ongoing expansions that would add up to $500M and build out more than a million square feet of space.
Atlanta’s data center market has been getting some attention this year. QTS has expansion projects of its own going on, as does Switch. Zayo is expanding its square footage there as well.
