Late last week, Vertical Systems Group put out its Mid-Year 2012 US Business Ethernet Leaderboard, measuring the marketshare by port for providers across the sector.  Rather than look at a single graphic, here’s the last three such leaderboards from VSG side by side:

Over the past six months, the top three (AT&T, Verizon, and tw telecom) held their positions, while CenturyLink regained the #4 slot it had a year ago, bumping Cox and XO each down a notch.  The #9 slot was left of the list this time, as Cogent’s share must have fallen below the 4% threshold.  The next tier included Charter Business, Cogent, Comcast Business, Optimum Lightpath, Reliance Globalcom, Windstream, and Zayo.
