We’ve had a bumper crop of job listings on the Telecom Ramblings jobs board since my upgrade two weeks ago. This week we have a top management position at OpenCape and a group of four from Northeastern fiber operator Lightower.
OpenCape is looking for a Chief Operating Officer up on Cape Cod. OpenCape is building a stimulus-funded fiber network that will connect up Cape Cod with Boston and Providence with big bandwidth. They started breaking ground on the project over the winter, and expect to finish early next year.
Meanwhile, Lightower seems to be in expansion mode again after integrating everything it acquired back in 2010. They’re looking for a Strategic Project Engineer and a Network Operations Technician in New York City/Long Island, as well as a Senior IP Engineer, and an Application Developer up in Massachusetts. You have to figure that the private equity guys behind Lightower will be ready to make another move before long.
Still on the jobs board from past weeks are two listings by Sidera, one for Business Account Managers, Enterprise and one for a Senior Facilities Power Engineer. The UK’s CityFibre Holdings has a listing for a Local Access – Metro network architect or senior designer, while Unite Private Networks is seeking an SVP Sales – Chief Marketing Officer by Unite Private Networks.
