For the first Telecom Ramblings reader poll of 2010, I thought I’d invert the question I asked last summer and see who the telecom community thinks is the likeliest buyer of more fiber. For this poll, I’m looking only at publicly traded companies that own or directly operate a substantial amount of fiber:

I’m also using a new service, PollDaddy, for the first time – hopefully it will be a bit smoother than the previous one.
I have reverted to the previous polling plugin, I wasn’t happy with the functionality of PollDaddy at this time.

I’d say that Comcast, Time warner Cable or COX may be buyers in 2010.
I did leave the Cable MSOs off the list, hmmm…
As a follow-up question, who is 2010 is most likely acquired?
Zayo will be first in 2010. i dont think they have fulfilled there appetite for growth and will be aggressive in early 2010. Although I understand they are private company and not on your list
doesn’t Sprint (S) have to entertain more business dollars to increase both their top and their bottom lines??
