Two from Europe, one from Latin America, and one from Southeast Asia.

Schneider Electric has been busy over in Portugal. They have announced a partnership with Start Campus to help deliver and operate SIN01 in Sines. SIN01 is the first building of what will be a 1.2GW campus and is powered entirely by renewable energy. Schneider Electric is delivering power, software, and consulting services to the campus.

Bulk Infrastructure says that it has completed an expansion of the Oslo Internet Exchange. They have added three new data halls to the data center, doubling its prior capacity and making the facility into Oslo’s largest data center. OS-IX is preparing for demand for combined data center and cloud services.

HGC Global Communications is expanding further into other parts of southeast Asia. Last week they extended their Data Center Interconnect capabilities into the Malaysian cities of Cyberjaya and Johor Bahru. The move builds on recent expansions in Thailand and the Philippines.

And Telefonica is looking to sell more of its Latin American assets. They have tapped Citi to help them divest Telefónica Chile, a move that follows similar actions in Peru and Colombia. The company is refocusing efforts on western Europe plus perhaps Brazil. Liberty Latin America and América Móvil have been mentioned as potential buyers.
