Two data center items and three items from metro fiber providers:
Bandwidth IG is rebranding itself as BIG Fiber. The metro dark fiber provider is looking to shift into a new phase of growth powered by demand from AI and other new technologies. Over the last six years, BIG Fiber has built out deep infrastructure in the Bay Area, Atlanta GA, and Portland OR, and has passed 600 route miles in service with another 300 in progress.
PRIME FiBER is expanding its relationship with AT&T into Arizona. The wholesale fiber access provider will be enabling AT&T’s efforts in Arizona’s Sun City and Peoria, following on a similar deal last year for Naples, Bonita Springs, Golden Gate and San Carlos Park down in Florida. PRIME FiBER is the wholesale arm of NOVOS FiBER.
Hudson InterXchange is expanding its presence at 60 Hudson Street in New York City. They are adding a 2MW data hall in the iconic facility which will support high density loads of up to 40kW per cabinet. Hudson IX now has 173,000 square feet across multiple floors in the facility.
DataBank has made an inorganic move to own more of its own real estate. They have acquired the building housing EWR2, their data center facility in Piscataway, New Jersey. The move is part of a broader strategy to own and control the real estate supporting their edge footprint.
And FiberLight has lined up $500M in new sustainability-linked refinancing. The regional provider recently announced the acquisition of MFN and is looking to increase its pace of growth. The funds will go toward both refinancing existing debt and the acceleration of organic network expansion and enhanced service delivery.
