Tuesday Bytes: Duos, Hurricane Electric, atNorth, RADCOM

A few interesting items, including one bit of reverse consolidation:

Duos Technologies Group has made an inorganic move, but this one to get smaller. The company, which used to be a railroad technology company that was dabbling in edge data center infrastructure, has now divested that railroad business (DTI) to Sandbank Acosta LLC, an entity owned DTI’s current and forward management. Duos Technology Group will now focus all its energies on its edge data center and AI infrastructure projects.

Hurricane Electric has built out a bigger presence in the Philippines. They have added a new PoP at STT Makati, which sits at 2275 Chino Roces Avenue in the Makati CBD of Manila. It is Hurricane Electric’s third PoP in the Philippines, offering greater opportunity for exchange of IP traffic to networks both locally and regionally.

atNorth will be sharing the surplus heat generated at its DEN02 data center campus in Ølgod, Denmark. They are partnering with Selected Group, which will use that heat in large-scale greenhouse development next to the campus. That will hopefully increase food production in the country, helping reduce imports of fresh fruit and vegetables in the region. The first phase will be completed in Q3 of 2028.

And RADCOM has picked up some business in eastern Europe. Under a new multi-year contract CETIN Networks will be using their end-to-end assurance solution across the company’s mobile network in Slovakia. CETIN is rolling out 5G Standalone and VoNR while moving to a cloud-native core, and this will allow them to consolidate network visibility onto a single platform.
