FiberLight this week announced two new paths from Dallas down into northern Mexico. Working with partners MDC Data Centers and NeuLink, they are offering fiber routes connecting Dallas with both Querétaro and Monterrey.
The new crossings leverage MDC’s recently announced international fiber crossing at Eagle Pass TX, a newly diverse option for getting to the growing data center markets south of the border. Once in Mexico, the routes take advantage of the fiber infrastructure of Monterrey-based NeuLink to connect all the way south to Querétaro. NeuLink is a relatively new player, having only recently launched its infrastructure on this route.
FiberLight’s footprint spans much of Texas, and it is that depth with which they are handling the northern part of the route, which passes through San Antonio on the way from Dallas to Eagle Pass. Hyperscalers and other international infrastructure players have been putting resources into the Mexican infrastructure marketplace of late, and FiberLight is well positioned to help them connect things up.
