Connectbase to Acquire LastMileXchange

May 16th, 2023 by · Leave a Comment

There is a bit of consolidation going on in the cloud ecosystem that serves the infrastructure & connectivity world. Connectbase has announced a deal to purchase LastMileXchange, a London-based provider of access pricing solutions.

This is the first M&A move I have seen from Connectbase, which has until now organically built its ecosystem and cloud-based data platform. Most of that work has focused on North America, however, and that’s what this deal changes for the company.

LMX’s presence in EMEA and APAC and beyond will give Connectbase more global depth, connecting 450+ access vendors worldwide. Combined the two will cover all six continents with two billion unique locations listed in their database.

All LMX employees will join Connectbase. They’ll have plenty to do, as there is surely substantial integration work to be done first as they unify the cloud-based systems both on the front and backend.

Financial and timing details were not disclosed. Connectbase raised $22M in series C funding last winter.
