One M&A, one expansion, one new tenant, and one vendor win:

11:11 Systems has made another inorganic move. The managed infrastructure provider has agreed to acquire the cloud managed services business of Sungard AS. It’s the second deal for assets of Sungard AS this month as the company’s Chapter 11 proceedings continue. 11:11 Systems has made five acquisitions since its launch last year, and assuming they close as expected this purchase will make it 5.

CoreSite has picked up a new tenant at its VA1 data center in Reston, Virginia. The managed security services provider Adela Technologies is deploying its physical servers in the facility, from which it will serve customers like the Department of Defense. CoreSite became part of American Tower last winter.

Involta has expanded its footprint out in Ohio again. They have added another 14,000 square feet of space and 1MW of power at their facility in Independence, outside of Cleveland. That gives them a total of 40,000 square feet and 10MW of power in the state. They also upgraded their cooling infrastructure, backup generators, and overall resiliency.

And DZS is supplying Southeast Nebraska Communications with the technology to upgrade its infrastructure. SNC is replacing legacy gear that was unable to support Active Ethernet, also adding multi-gigabit services and other modern capabilities needed by enterprises and consumers. Included in the deal are DZS’s Velocity Access Edge platforms and Helix Subscriber Edge solutions.
