Poll: Which US Network Operators Are Most Likely To Be Acquired in 2022?

January 3rd, 2022 by · Leave a Comment

Happy New Year to all!  At least as happy as a third pandemic year can be anyway, but hey.  It’s time for our annual tradition of taking the temperature of the network M&A marketplace for the year ahead.  Today we ask the question of who you think are the likeliest candidates to be sold (in part or in whole) in 2022.  (Not including already pending transactions). If I’ve missed anyone, do let me know.

Last year readers picked Segra, Crown Castle, FiberLight, GTT, and ZenFi.  At the time GTT had already announced the sale of its infrastructure division, so that didn’t count, and thus none of those top 5 picks actually changed hands.  But to be fair the M&A was more aimed at FTTH and data center, which are not represented on this list except where there is overlap.  So maybe they really were the most likely, just not actually that likely.  Has the mood shifted?  Have your say!
