The infrastructure component vendor space saw some inorganic activity this morning. Infinite Electronics, Inc. has announced the acquisition of Integra Optics.

The deal will add Integra Optics’ transceiver products, solutions, and expertise to Infinite’s broader portfolio of electronic components. Integra Optics president Jim Pascarelle will join Infinite’s executive team and lead the company’s operations under the new corporate umbrella. Meanwhile founder, CEO, and CTO David Prescott will help out as a consultant for a while before moving on.  We had David here for an Industry Spotlight a couple years ago.

Integra Optics will join a variety of other brands/divisions within Infinite’s portfolio, including Pasternack Enterprises, Fairview Microwave, L-com Global Connectivity, MilesTek, Aiconics, KP Perofmance Antennas, Kaelus, PolyPhaser, Transtector, radiowaves, ShowMeCables, and Integrated Network Cable.  That’s a long list that the company has been adding to steadily, bringing an entire ecosystem of vendors and solutions under one roof while maintaining the brands and teams.
