Colt Heads Down Under

January 24th, 2019 by · Leave a Comment

Colt’s APAC reach is expanding to include a new continent. They have announced plans to extend the Colt IQ Network southward into Australia for the first time.

Initially the expansion will hook up Sydney with routes from Singapore and Japan. The Singapore leg is leveraging the Australia-Singapore Cable system that Vocus put into service a few months back, which means it won’t take much to hook up Perth down the line.

Colt has been putting resource to work in APAC at an increasing clip, adding capabilities to the former KVH footprint. Just last week they launched SIP trunking in Hong Kong and Singapore, so perhaps Sydney is next on that list as well.
