Three interesting items worth noting:

Unite Private Networks has added another Nebraska enterprise contract. The Midwestern fiber operator will be providing high speed internet and an ELAN solution to Five Point Banks. The ELAN will hook up the company’s headquarters and twelve satellite locations around Nebraska.

Ciena has made another inorganic move on the software and services side of things. They are boosting the company’s Blue Planet Intelligent Automation capabilities with the acquisition of DonRiver. DonRiver specializes in federated network and service inventory management solutions for OSS. Earlier this year Ciena also bought Packet Design.

NJFX is adding some more muscle to its management team as it readies itself for the next phase in the company’s development. Former Tata Communications COO John Hayduk has signed on as a strategic partner to help with network technology, landing station systems, and future expansions. And Cliff Gasior has been promoted to VP of Engineering and Operations, a position from which he will focus on system and equipment lifecycles.
