Zayo Moves Into SD-WAN

January 3rd, 2018 by · Leave a Comment

Another network operator has joined the SD-WAN party.  Zayo has launched its own solution, which complements the existing WAN solutions in the company’s existing portfolio.

Zayo’s SD-WAN comes in managed and unmanaged varieties, aiming to provide a flexible and streamlined option to the company’s enterprise customers.  It works in concert with internet, IP-VPN, and LTE connections, and uses dynamic traffic steering at the application level.

SD-WAN capabilities are quickly becoming a pre-requisite for growth in the enterprise space.  The revenues are starting to ramp, and while there is hype in all new technologies there seems to be less fluff behind this one than most.
