Comcast Business has been busy this week with two announcements on the metro fiber connectivity front. Both are aimed at urban innovation hub opportunities in the northeast.
In Philadelphia, Comcast Business has expanded its relationship with Benjamin’s Desk, the regional coworking and incubator community. Benjamin’s Desk has upgraded its connectivity at its main Rittenhouse Square location to 1Gbps and also brought three new locations on-net via a fully meshed Ethernet service.
And in New Haven, Comcast Business has polished off a network expansion project downtown. The buildout cost $1.7M and brought 10Gbps Ethernet connectivity to seven businesses between Tower Lane and State Street. Church, Orange, Audubon, Elm, State, and Temple streets are all now within the company’s network reach.
