If you thought Equinix’s 10 data centers in the DC metro area were enough, you were wrong. The data center builder and operator has purchased four new parcels of land in Loudon County, Virginia.
They’ve spent $34.5M to acquire the 34 acres of land at the corner of Waxpool Road and Loudoun County Parkway, which lies just to the south of their existing North Ashburn campus locations. Equinix’s expansion plans in the area span a million square feet of space across five new facilities.
