Another Level 3 alumni has resurfaced to take the helm of a company within telecom and internet infrastructure. Sureel Choksi has been appointed the CEO of Vantage Data Centers, succeeding Jim Trout who will transition to a new role as Founder and CTO.
Vantage operates three data centers on its campus in Santa Clara, California and a 130,000 square foot facility 64 acres of land further north in Quincy, Washington. The new leadership team will be taking aim at the next phase of the company’s growth.
Since his years at Level 3, where he served in a half dozen senior executive positions, Choksi has been with the private equity firm Silver Lake. Silver Lake is Vantage’s main backer of course, which means this is still all in the family.
