Ok, I'm back in the saddle again after a vacation in the wild side of China, and I see we have a new job listing this week from Zayo Group.
Zayo is looking for Sales Directors for three Vertical Overlays to join its finance/accounting team. The three verticals in question are Media and Cable/Satellite, Internet Content and Software, and CLEC/Voice Service Provider. Zayo just posted its fiscal Q2 earnings on Friday, it's really amazing how big they are now relative to the early days of this blog when the fiber roll-up Dan Caruso was planning was still a very theoretical concept.
Meanwhile, DukeNet is still looking for a Director of Enterprise Sales, or perhaps a Managing Director of Enterprise Sales, responsible for building an organization focused on the mid-market and large enterprise segments. DukeNet operates one of the deepest fiber networks in the Carolinas, and has been more aggressive in the past few years since the Energy parent teamed up with the private equity firm Alinda Capital Partners to help expand the business model.
