Two new postings on the Ramblings’ Jobs Board this week, the first from a familiar Northeastern source and the second from a new player out in the Midwest.
Out in Kansas City, Missouri, Bluebird Network is looking for an IP Technician to provide technical leadership in support of their regional IP/MPLS network. Bluebird Network was just born this year, as the union of Bluebird Media and the Missouri Network Alliance – a regional fiber operator. Bluebird is in the midst of spending some of that stimulus money to add 1000 route miles to their network across rural Missouri.
Meanwhile, Sidera Networks has posted another job opening, this time seeking a Business Account Sales Manager, Enterprise. Sidera operates a deep metro footprint in the Northeast, Washington DC, and Chicago, with a strong focus on the financial sector as well as other bandwidth-intensive verticals and of course a carrier business. Rumors in late Spring had Sidera’s new owners possibly selling already, but on the ground I have seen nothing from Sidera except a continuation of the growth from the RCN Metro days plus some additional aggressiveness on the ground.
