Not that much going on today in the world of news, but we have more activity on the Telecom Ramblings Jobs Board – perhaps defying recent layoff news from Cisco just a little bit. Today we have another job posting from metro fiber builder and operator Optical Communications Group (OCG) in New York City and out on Long Island.
OCG is looking for experienced SONET/Ethernet technicians, responsible for maintaining, upgrading, and installing network elements in the company’s PoPs and at customer premises. OCG has two other postings still active on the Jobs Board as well, for a Right of Way Agent and for an OSP/ISP Engineer. OCG isn’t very talkative in terms of PRs and such, but they’re quite clearly in expansion mode these days.
