I’ll Be at the Telecom Exchange in New York

Some of you may have noticed the banner at the lower right already, but Telecom Ramblings is proud to be a media sponsor of the Telecom Exchange this June 29.  In fact, I expect to do something I have rarely managed to do when it comes to conferences and meetings.  Assuming the travel gods don’t interfere, I’m actually going to show up in person.  Representatives of many of the companies I talk about here will be in attendance, plus others I have yet to meet.

Telecom Ramblings has until this year been almost entirely a virtual production, and the number of people in the industry who have actually laid eyes on me has been pretty darn small.  But that has been changing of late, as I stepped into the moderator role for the first time at Tinet’s Media Roundtable last month and even put in a brief appearance at Capacity China recently.  Now, New York City beckons.

Actually, having grown up in suburban New Jersey, NYC has never beckoned – it has always scared me a bit, as my formative memories of the place include counting the stripped cars on the Harlem River Drive while choking on smog on the way across to Shea Stadium in the late 70s.  But what the heck.
