Cloud M&A: Momentum Adds Twist

July 8th, 2013 by · 1 Comment

There was a bit of consolidation in the cloud today, as Momentum announced the acquisition of the assets of Twist Networks from its parent Communications Technologies, Inc. The deal will boost the Birmingham-based cloud provider’s presence in St. Louis.

Twist Networks has been a wholesale VoIP partner of Momentum for three years, and after this deal Momentum will have a VAR agreement with CTI. That will pair CTI’s SIP trunks and Momentum’s cloud PBX.

Momentum has been actively boosting its retail VAR capabilities since buying CommPartners a few years back, and no doubt has further plans for expanding its capabilities.
