Cologix Acquires The Minneapolis Gateway

May 15th, 2012 by · Leave a Comment

Cologix has expanded its US presence via inorganic means by purchasing The Minneapolis Gateway, which lies within 511 11th Avenue South in, as you might have already guessed, Minneapolis MN.

This purchase gives Cologix a solid foothold in the Minneapolis carrier neutral colocation market, with 20,000 square feet of carrier neutral colocation space and access to more than 70 carriers and to the MICE peering point. That will fit right in with their other Dallas and Canadian operations.

Cologix formally launched its colo and interconnection business last autumn, and probably has further such plans in mind as well.  They are also expanding organically, announcing both an additional 23,000 square feet in Toronto and another 12,000 at the Dallas Infomart.
