A couple of contracts and a couple of service expansions worth noting to end the week:

FirstLight has lined up a customer for its disaster recovery data backup solution. New Hampshire-based Keller Products, which specializes in plastics extrusion, is expanding its relationship with FirstLight beyond voice and internet services to include DRaaS and fiber connectivity to its backup cloud storage location. Firstlight’s DRaaS solution is powered by Veeam, and will enable Keller to more quickly back up and recover data from four different locations.

PacketFabric has launched a new multi-cloud connectivity solution under the name Cloud Router. The next generation Network-as-a-Service platform provider will simplify the process and pricing for enterprise DevOps teams wishing to take advantage of the growing list of multi-cloud and hybrid-cloud options out there. PacketFabric also recently announced a $100/month pricing strategy for hybrid cloud connections up to 1Gbps across the US and Europe.

HGC Global Communications is adding muscle in southeast Asia. They have upgraded their presence in Singapore to that of a major hub. That includes the strategic expansion of HGC’s ICT capabilities into the region. HGC has been steadily expanding its presence in Singapore and has now brought in industry veteran Wong Hung to lead the effort.  HGC is looking perhaps to diversify its business geographically, lessening its dependence on Hong Kong.

Orange Business Services has announced a new contract with NumAlim, with the help of Dawex. NumAlim has tapped them to help deploy its agri-food digital exchange platform leveraging Dawex’s data exchange technology and Orange’s cloud services infrastructure. NumAlim is a cooperative of the French food industry that aims to improve the circulation of data about food products, ensuring that people have access to accurate information about the food they eat.
