Thursday Roundup: Juniper, Epsilon, Colt, ADVA

A few quick items to keep up with:

Juniper has a new high-profile, and high-speed, customer and partner. Aston Martin Lagonda is deploying Juniper gear and software to support its networking needs, both for its luxury autombile business and its motorsports racing arm. Meanwhile, Juniper’s logo will appear on Aston Martin Vantage GTE race cars at Le Mans in 2020.

Epsilon has picked up a bit of business in Hong Kong this week. The Hong Kong subsidiary of the Indonesian telecommunications company Telin is using Epsilon’s Infiny platform for on-demand cloud connectivity. The arrangement brings Telin HK’s customers direct access to everything from Google to Alibaba.

Colt has improved its cloud connectivity options for the enterprise market. They have partnered with Google Cloud to provide direct, on-demand connections between either data centers or enterprises themselves to Google Cloud instances. Along with Colt’s SDN-powered IQ Network, the new on-ramps are available across the company’s European, Asian, and US footprints.

And ADVA has won a new convert for its Ensemble software. TPx Communications will be using it to power its uCPE platform, enabling easy deployment and management of VNFs for SD-WAN, Firewall, and other services. That platform will let TPx consolidate various appliances onto a single white box architecture. TPx is of course in the process of being acquired by the private equity firm Siris.
