A new edge data center, a new FTTH market, a bit of M&A, and some subsea action.

Duos Edge AI continued its expansion across Texas yesterday with a new edge data center deployment. The facility in Abilene TX will support the Region 14 Education Service Center, reaching 14 school districts and charter schools across an 11-county area. Duos has such installations up and running in Amarillo, Waco, and Victoria so far.

Ripple Fiber is about to break ground on its second California market. A few weeks after kicking off its presence in the state by entering Bakersfield, the FTTH builder and operator has announced plans to spend $43M in Riverside County, starting out it Corona. They’ll be targeting some 33K homes in the area initially.

Enxoo has made an inorganic move over in the Europe. The Salesforce systems integrator has acquired Cloud Jungle, accelerating its growth across the UK & Ireland. They’ll be focusing on communications and digital infrastructure, leveraging Cloud Jungle’s CRM and Salesforce solutions.

And SUBCO is finishing up work on its SMAP cable system, which will have 16 fiber pairs along the southern coast of Australia. The Perth-Adelaide-Melbourne section will be in place this month, and the Melbourne-Sydney place by the end of this quarter. SUBCO also added 12T of terrestrial capacity between Melbourne and Sydney and has acquired another quarter fiber pair on the Indigo Central cable.
