FirstLight Acquires ColoSpace

December 10th, 2019 by · Leave a Comment

FirstLight Fiber is finishing off the year with a bit of inorganic expansion. The Northeastern fiber and data operator has announced the acquisition of ColoSpace for an undisclosed purchase price.

ColoSpace’s footprint spans four data centers of a total 20,000 square feet in Massachussets and southern New Hampshire, which they use for a combination of colo, managed IT, cloud, and disaster recovery services.

The facilities are already hooked up to FirstLight’s fiber in the region, so physically the integration won’t require much work. It will be mainly a consolidation of the various product and service organizations, the completion of which will boost FirstLight’s revenue and customer base in the key market of the greater Boston metro area.
