A few stories to keep up with from:

GNM has added another network to ecosystem of GNM-IX. Zayo Europe has established a connection to the pan-european interconnection system, gaining direct access to a community of some 700 ASNs. Zayo Europe’s infrastructure will complement GNM’s own reach, and the two companies look forward to further joint initiatives.

Segra has launched a new unified cloud communications platform called SkyVoice. They are targeting the business and enterprise market, looking to bring voice, collaboration, and contact center capabilities under one umbrella. The service directly integrates with a range of other business software and is delivered over Segra’s own fiber infrastructure throughout its footprint.

DataBank is teaming up with Goodman Group to build a new data center out in California. They have formed a joint venture to build a 32MW facility at 3094 E Vernon Avenue in the city of Vernon. That’s just 5 miles south of downtown LA. Goodman acquired the site in 2023 and will build the facility, while DataBank will operate the site within its national infrastructure platform. The JV may later take aim at additional sites in the future.

And Grain Management has acquired a chunk of Data Realty Holding Corp, which is the founding and conrolling shareholder of Prime Data Centers. Grain’s preferred equity investment in the company will provide additional funding for expansion to meet the growing appetite of AI and cloud computing. Prime has 7GW of operational or planned capacity across major markets in both the US and Europe.
