A few items from over the Easter break worth to catch up on:

ValorC3 Data Centers is expanding deeper into the cloud business with the launch of an enterprise-grade private cloud platform. Valor Cloud leverages OpenStack technology from Platform9 as well as integrated data protection from Veeam. They are looking to help customers across their footprint in the western US who want to move out from the public cloud to something more predictable.

Adtran has expanded its edge routing capabilities with a new Terabit-class offering. The new solution features 400Gbps interfaces, offering an upgrade path from the now ubiquitous 100Gbps interfaces and enabling 400Gbps aggregation at the edge. The new Terabit-scale edge routers integrate with the company’s optical solutions.

Liquid Intelligent Technologies is raising some funds with a new notes offering. They have priced US$300M of senior secured notes due 2031 at 10.75%. It’s part of a larger refinancing of $620M in 5.5% notes due this year, revamping the company’s capital structure as the company prepares for its next phase of growth. Liquid operates pan-African fiber infrastructure and services and is part of Cassava Technologies.

And Brightspeed continued its tour through the FTTx projects across its territory with an update on Louisiana. The company says it is 50% complete across its footprint there, passing 43,000 homes and businesses with fiber. They are done in Basile and Bordelonville, and construction is underway in Allen, Avoyelles, Bossier, Caddo, Evangeline, Jefferson Davis, La Salle, Rapides, St. Martin and Webster. Brightspeed also has federal funding from BEAD ($7.5M) and ARPA ($270K) that will help reach another 3.2K homes.
