MetTel says it is seeing a tipping point in copper infrastructure retirement. They have seen a rise in customers for their POTS Transformation managed services across a range of enterprise verticals as well as in the federal sphere. Highlighted are 17K units for the US POstal service, and 2.3K locations for Extra Space Storage.
Equinix has unveiled a new approach to the rapidly evolving AI ecosystem. They have launched a Distributed AI Hub to help enterprises connect, secure, and simplify things. The idea is to provide a centralizing influence to what is by nature a very complicated, distributed ecosystem. The product also integrates with Palo Alto Networks for real-time threat detection.
Liquid C2 is teaming up with CyberCoach to educate customers across Africa on cyber security issues. Liquid C2 will use its Cloud mania channel ecosystem to distribute training programs that are tailored based on employee job function. Theyll be targeting enterprises, SMBs, public sector institutions, and other partners across their pan-African footprint.
And AllPoints Fiber Networks is launching FTTP services on CityFibre’s infrastructure. They are offering 1.3Gbps and 2.3Gbps connections via their aquila platform that leverage CityFibre’s XGS-PON services. This follows last month’s move by APFN to tap Ethernet capabilities from Sky Business Wholesale.
