Up in Minnesota, Arvig has expanded its depthin the Twin Cities metro area. They have finalized an agreement to interconnect with a new data center being built in the town of Eagan. The 12MW facility at 3640 Nasseff Way is being built by Centra and will come online next quarter. Arvig has some 300 PoPs throughout Minnesota.
Brightspeed has completed a new last mile network build down in Alabama’s Wiregrass region. That’s the southeastern corner of the state where said wiregrass is a common feature of the ecosystem. Brightspeed has built out fiber in the cities of Abbeville, Ariton, Columbia, Daleville, Dothan, Elba, Enterprise, Hartford, Headland, New Brockton, Newton, Samson and Slocumb, touching some 67K homes and businesses.
GI Partners has announced the acquisition of two data centers in the Baltimore metro area. The facilities are located in the Maryland cities of Laurel and Severn and are fully leased to a single user. The deal gives GI partners some 78 data centers across its portfolio.
OptiCool has signed a master agreement with Bridgepointe Technologies. The tech advisory firm will be able to leverage OptiCool’s high efficiency cooling systems in support of cloud, HPC, and AI projects across its customer base. OptiCool focuses on two-phase, close coupled systems for liquid cooling, reducing the need for complicated airflow management.
And American Tower revealed its role in prepping the San Francisco metro area for last month’s SuperBowl. They delivered upgraded 5G connectivity at the Moscone Center, a convention center facility spanning 2M square feet of space. The Moscone Center was turned into a massive interactive football theme park that hosted fan activities, interative games, and the Pro Bowl.
