Their current expansion projects have 800MW in the pipeline, with another 1GW of secured power for future expansion.
Two data centers in Maryland are changing hands. Harrison Street Asset Management has announced the sale of its Emerson and Sandy Farms hyperscale shell data centers just outside of Baltimore. The fully leased facilities were developed 5 years ago and offer some total some 218,000 square feet of space on 95 acres of land. The buyer was not disclosed.
Orange Business and Tech Mahindra are teaming up in a new strategic partnership. The idea is to combine Orange Business’ networks and global data platforms with Tech Mahindra’s integration and consulting reach. They will focus on digital transformation for enterprise customers, looking to leverage next generation AI, automation, and security capabiltiies.
And in a reminder that the news sometimes intrudes upon the infrastructure world in very real ways, Amazon says that one of its UAE data centers was struck and the mec1-az3 availability zone was shut down temporarily yesterday. The facility was struck by ‘objects’ leading to a fire during as Iranian retaliatory missiles and drones hit the country in the wake of the US/Israeli strikes on Iran. Some see risks to the strait of Hormuz and the flow of oil, but these days the risks to the flow of data might be even more impactful if they spread.
