Two fiber network projects and two data center projects to catch up with.
US Signal says it will be building out 1,000 route miles of fiber and conduit in the Midwest. The project will focus on Ohio and Indiana, leveraging funds from a recent investment by Igneo Infrastructure Partners in 2025. The new middle mile infrastructure will enable US Signal to better connect new AI infrastructure and data center projects. The buildout is already 30% complete with the rest to be finished early next year.
CleanArc Data Centers will be developing a new facility in Dallas, Texas. They have been selected to take a lead role in the project on a high-connectivity urban infill site owned by Crow Holdings. The 245MW campus will be on 40 acres along the Stemmons Corridor, and the first phase will be a 70MW building that should be ready late next year.
Neterra is investing €12M into an upgrade of its network in its home turf of Bulgaria. The company will be deploying Infinera gear, which is of course part of Nokia these days, to achieve 800Gbps and potentially 1.2Tbps per channel. Phase 1 will cover the western and southern part of the country, including Sofia–Ruse and Sofia–Plovdiv–Stara Zagora–Sliven–Kapitan Andreevo.
And in the UK, Pulsant says it will be building a new data hall in Milton Keynes. They will be investing £10M into the existing facility, adding 1.2MW of capacity targeted at AI and other high-density computing tasks. Pulsant operates 14 data centers around the UK with a 400Gb network connecting them all.
