An M&A, a lease, and a couple of network upgrades:
There was a bit of data center M&A over in northwestern Europe. Antin Infrastructure Partners has agreed to acquire NorthC Data Centers from DWS. After starting out in the Netherlands, NorthC now operates 25 facilities in the Netherlands, Germany, and Switzerland powered by some 140MW of secured gross grid capacity. With Antin’s backing I’m sure we will see further expansion news in the quarters ahead.
Speaking of the Netherlands, Pure Data Centres has unveiled a major new win. A new hyperscale customer has signed a lease for an entire 78MW campus in Westpoort, Amsterdam. PureDC has purchased the site and arranged the necessary power infrastructure, and will spend €1B to develop the campus starting in January 2026. When complete, the project will feature three 85-meter towers, each housing 26MW of capacity.
GTT has picked up some international enterprise business. JYSK, a global home furnishing retailer, has tapped GTT for connectivity as part of an overall infrastructure upgrade. JYSK operates 3,600+ stores across 50 countries, and this upgrade will service 29 markets across Europe through GTT’s Envision platform.
And Verizon Business has been busy in the sports vertical. They have announced upgrades to Empower Field out in Denver, Colorado. That’s the Denver Bronco’s stadium, where both the fan experience and daily operations will see boosts in bandwidth and other capabilities. The upgrade includes both a new LAN and some WiFi 6E.
